To blog or not to blog. . .

I'm not certain how I can use blogging in my classroom (yet). After checking out a few of the youtube videos and articles I'm more convinced that blogging might be viable for grade 4 - before I wasn't sure if it was just for intermediates or highschool students. With only 40 minutes a week in the computer lab I feel somewhat limited in what I can do. Although most of my students do spend lots of time on computers at home so it would give them access to the blog from there. I would really like to find some good examples of educational blogs and how students and teachers are using them. Are they posting articles and having students respond? Are students posting work and commenting? Are we posting student work for comment? I guess I'm just not sure of the scope and limitations of the blog. Hopefully, I'll be able to find a focus during the workshop.

This is the first post. At least I have something up and running when the teacher checks my blog.
